08/04/2010 - Allen Park, MI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Detroit Lions made it official on Wednesday and agreed to terms with defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, the second overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Lions president Tom Lewand said Wednesday morning that Suh was set to sign the deal before taking the field for the afternoon practice.

"We've officially agreed to terms," said Lewand. "We've worked hard the last several weeks, in particular, the last several days. As with all of these deals, it's matter of compromising and finding common ground. While we would have liked to do it earlier [and] I'm sure he would have liked to do it earlier, we're just glad it's done and over with."

Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but the Detroit Free Press has reported it to be a four-year deal worth $68 million with $40 million guaranteed.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Suh recorded 85 tackles, 12 sacks and 24 tackles for loss last season in 14 games for Nebraska. He was the Outland Trophy, Lombardi Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Chuck Bednarik Award winner while also being named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, and also finished fourth in the 2009 Heisman Trophy voting.

Suh finished his Cornhuskers career with 215 tackles, 24 sacks, good for a tie for fourth place in school history, and 57 tackles for loss, second in school history behind only Grant Wistrom.
